A life lived solely for the sake of the family.
I couldn’t hope for anything, and I didn’t have anything.
I thought it would be enough if I could just devote myself to the family.
What returned at the end of that devotion was a dreadful death.

“You dare not to know your place and covet the family’s guardian magic, so pay it back with your life.”

That’s how I died.
But that’s not bad either. Death is eternal rest.
I think I can rest now.….

“Are you up, miss?”

……my rest is gone?

* * *

After learning that I had returned to a year ago, I decided.

‘I’m going to die as soon as possible.’

However, it is not easy to die because of the family’s guardian magic. So I went to find a man.
The head of a family that that is hostile to the family I devoted my life to.
The only one who can break through the guardian magic and kill me.

“Hello, the weather is nice. It’s always cold in the capital, but I think it’s a little warm these days.”

So…

“Would you mind killing me?”

I started reading this novel because the title caught my attention. Initially, it seemed promising, but I’m struggling with the portrayal of the female lead (FL). If she was trained from a young age to be a genius, why does she come across as so naive? It doesn’t add up. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for this story. She’s described as “petite” and “doll-like,” yet she can take down 20 grown men? The FL is incredibly overpowered, but the author seems reluctant to include aspects of her character that might make her appear less “feminine.”

I like this! FL is strong, emotionless, yet sensible and not dense, honest in her own way but not annoying. ML is also supportive, and their banter is delightful.

Anyway, this is one of those gem novels; read it till the end, and you won't be disappointed!

Most of the problems in the story have anticlimactic endings (maybe the author was just lazy and wanted to wrap things up quickly and abruptly without complex scenarios, lol), but nevertheless, since I primarily read the novel for the leads, it's somewhat fine with me. I'm rather thankful that the story can end faster without wasting time on a drawn-out happy ending, lol.

I'm really disappointed that this seems to have been dropped. FL is incredibly clueless and blunt, leaving the poor ML in a constant state of whiplash. Their interactions are hilarious, and I hope someone picks this up soon!

So far, I'm really enjoying the story. The female lead (FL) is completely emotionless, which makes her conversations with the male lead (ML) incredibly amusing. She leaves him speechless and flustered, something he's never experienced before due to the unusual nature of their interactions. However, the FL's backstory is quite heartbreaking, and I genuinely hope she finds happiness. I'm excited to see how her character develops.

Hmm, what an intriguing novel! I'm reading it purely for the fluff. Our Female Lead (FL) is hurt and emotionless, yet incredibly strong. She doesn’t want to live because she has endured so much suffering. I really hate her family. She’s not very good at expressing herself, which makes her conversations with the Male Lead (ML) quite humorous. Although the ML finds it challenging to deal with the FL, he is very supportive of her, and that’s a great thing.

I regret reading it... Now I'm suffering because I want more but there are no new chapters haha. Gosh, I came here out of curiosity, and now I don't want to leave, but I've run out of chapters... Cliffhanger TwT

It honestly is a bit boring and confusing in the first 4 chapters, but the rest are really entertaining. I agree with the review left by TrulyCloudy.

It's definitely worth reading... At least based on the 20 chapters I read, I sincerely want to know when the next update will be.

Bro, what is that ending? Lol what a weird way to end it. The last chapter felt more like the first chapter of an afterstory than an actual last chapter. And not to mention how anticlimactic the story’s finale actually was. At some point the last few chapters felt like it was cruising along instead of gearing towards an actual end.Frankly, I think the story needs a few more chapters to actually conclude things. Like his personal matters still need a true conclusion (like there needs to be an actual talk with a certain someone instead of just vaguely mentioning something about them that seems out of character for them because we weren’t given the clarification needed to understand why they are like that, and thanks to this ending we’ll never know). Also, there should definitely be more to explore in the endgame cause it was barely gone through. At the bare minimum there should be like 5 more chapters to conclude things. Ideally though the story needs another arc to fully explore the ideas it was working on up to the end. Then they could hit us with the ending. Right now it feels premature.
