After humanity abandoned Earth, they sought refuge on the planet Raptor, countless times bigger than earth, constructing protective domes to survive its harsh environment. In an effort to adapt, genetic experiments were conducted using Raptor's creatures , but they ended in failure, causing sickness and death. The idea of enhancement was abandoned, and for centuries, humans lived within the safety of the domes.
Generations later, descendants of these failed experiments began showing enhanced health and physical traits, with some even born with powerful Cores same as the Raptor's creatures , giving them abilities.
Orin, an 18-year-old boy, feels out of place—he has no core or heart, unlike most humans who have hearts or born with powerful cores. at the age of eight, Orin was abandoned by his biological parents and adopted by a man desperate to have a son. Though his father is caring, Orin struggles with feelings of inadequacy and dreams of becoming a monster hunter—despite lacking the abilities required he strives to become one of elite S-Level Hunters.
