The flow of the story was a bit rushed for me but the plot is very interesting! It's my first time reading a story where the heroine is bolder than the man.

Ignore the rating. It's mandatory for some reason, though I don't recall MAL always being this way. Just consider the rating as reflecting the aesthetic.

I believe that for works like this, they should be judged based on personal resonance with the vibes rather than narrative or flow—since this is more of a capsule of feelings and a reflection of the author's era.

That said, I've never had much sympathy for those who self-harm. If you want to log off, then log off; if not, I don't care about your dramatic displays. I was an abused orphan who fought FOR life and pleasure, not against my own existence, and certainly not due to others' conceptualizations. Not that I never indulged in whiny drama, but my instinct has always been to define myself rather than yearn for external purpose or validation.

So yeah, I'm not going to judge this on narrative. Once I got past my initial disdain, I found myself pretty invested in seeing what would happen to the main girl.

Vibe-wise? Stellar. I even named my shiny Darkrai after this manga. I adore her artwork and will likely be purchasing physical copies.

Recommended for: aesthetes, moodboard makers, Pinterest users, dark elegant gothic vibe queens, and/or those who personally resonate with the themes and narrative of angsty melancholy and fleeting beauty. If the narrative themes don't resonate with you, well, it's pretty short—just skim through and enjoy the art.
