The young lady from the Xue family was talented and beautiful, and married the dream husband at the age of 16. They had a loving and harmonious relationship and were together for 3 years when her husband attained the title of Imperial Scholar.

Now that he had attained glory and honor, he was dissatisfied with his commoner wife. He craved power and wealth; in his quest to become prince consort, he regarded her as an obstacle to marrying the princess and was willing to mu*der both his wife and children.

The arrogant and willful princess stood before her and ridiculed her: “So what if you are exceptionally beautiful and have unparalleled talents? After all, you are only a small official’s daughter, for this princess to crush you – is just as simple as crushing an ant to death!”

Her reputation was smeared, she committed su*cide by hanging, her brother was mu*dered while seeking justice for her, and her old father fell ill from the chain of grievous news and passed away.

During the 42nd year of Hong Xiao’s reign, Yanjing’s no. 1 beauty, Xue Fang Fei, passed away. She reincarnated into the body of the Grand Secretariat’s daughter, Jiang Li, who drowned and was granted new life!

She got into a prominent family and engaged in dirty, underhanded dealings non-stop. She came across all sorts of bad characters, be they monsters or freaks, she dealt with them accordingly. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

Once she was soft-hearted, but now she has become heartless! Jiang Li swore never to be an insignificant character again, and never to allow anyone to trample over herself again. This lifetime, she would seek justice by having her revenge and resolving this blood feud!

He is Northern Yan’s youngest duke, he is unrestrained and beautiful, he is capricious, and he collects the world’s strangest flowers.

Everyone said that the Grand Secretariat’s second daughter is spirited and lovely, pure and kind, and that she is likened to a white lotus.

He is clad in beautiful, red clothes, and retorted with a smile, “A white lotus? She is clearly a man-eating flower that eats people without spitting out bones!”

Jiang Li: “Duke, careful you don’t break your hand.”

Ji Heng: “Such a ferocious man-eating flower, of course I’m going to snatch it home to safeguard.”

An unrestrained hunk vs a daughter from an aristocratic family. The pair of wolves in sheep’s clothing join hands to tyrannize the world.

Summary with mild spoilers ahead; proceed at your own discretion:

This novel is exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story revolves around the protagonist, who starts as a beloved, intelligent, and beautiful woman, only to fall victim to the Princess's jealousy when she falls in love with the MC's husband. The MC becomes the target of deceit, betrayed by both her friend and husband, turning into a laughingstock in town due to false accusations.

The development of the romance is gradual, despite an early encounter between the main characters, who aren't initially friends or enemies. While the MC's quest for revenge occasionally affects the male lead's (ML) plans, the eventual blossoming of their relationship compensates for the slow pace.

In a pivotal moment, the MC is forced to wed the general's son as part of a political deal. She resists due to lack of feelings and her traumatic past. At this stage, the MC and ML have formed a bond, with the ML sparing her life earlier and her realizing her feelings for him, albeit hidden. When asked about her preferences, she denies having any particular liking. The ML, sensing her true feelings, reveals that he too has feelings for her, surprising both of them. It's revealed that he had even spoken with the emperor the day before the marriage proposal, securing their union as a couple instead of the other suitor. This revelation is a heartwarming twist.

Overall, if you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend giving this book a chance!

I absolutely adore this narrative. After reading "The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage," I had a hard time finding another riveting revenge tale... until I stumbled upon "Di Daughter's Marriage." Both stories captivate me, just like TRMEML does, with their edge-of-your-seat excitement! 🔥👏

Now, I'm curious about the connection between them. It mentions they belong to the same universe, but I'm not quite clear on how. Could someone kindly clarify the relationship between these stories? ????

Please explain the link between the two tales for me? Thanks in advance! 🙏

"Not bad. If 'Malicious Empress' rates as a 5, this one would be around a 3.5. The romance aspect is a bit sluggish, but the slapstick humor works well. The story quickly picks up pace as it jumps right into the action within the first few chapters, which is refreshing since the main character isn't a child for four years. However, the third part drags a bit and becomes monotonous, making me eager to wrap it up. Overall, I'd still suggest giving it a try."

The "Malicious Empress" series has once again lived up to its predecessor in terms of intricate plotlines, cunning schemes, and engaging confrontations. The storytelling is coherent and the rapid pace keeps readers hooked. I would rate the first half of the book a solid 5 out of 5.

However, the romance aspect left me wanting more. It felt平淡 and underdeveloped; compared to the gradual buildup and electric chemistry in the previous installment, this one fell flat for me. The relationship felt rushed, as if the author abruptly remembered it near the end and tried to cram everything in. The first significant romantic milestones – kiss, confession, and proposal – were crammed into a single scene after 200+ chapters, which felt rushed and unsatisfying.

Additionally, the ending struck me as somewhat repetitive, with a forced separation between the protagonists that felt contrived and detracted from the overall quality of the narrative. This was particularly disappointing given the otherwise well-crafted plot throughout the rest of the book.

Despite these minor annoyances, I still found the book enjoyable and appreciate the author's work. Overall, it's a satisfying read, though I hope for more depth and nuance in future romantic elements.

The malicious empress inadvertently led me to this captivating novel. It's quite an emotional rollercoaster; I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as the protagonist avenged those who had wronged them – they truly deserved their comeuppance.

I tried my best to comprehend it, but it was quite challenging, which might have affected my review. Frankly, it was uninteresting and rather lackluster. "Military Empress" is much superior in my opinion.

As for the romantic aspect, it progressed at an excruciating pace. It seemed like their marriage only happened in the final chapter, which is quite amusing given the title. The development of their relationship truly occurred near the very end.

I arrived at this through Malicious Empress, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. I appreciated the distinct differences between the two novels. Both main characters, Male Lead (ML) and Female Lead (FL), are intelligent and thoughtful, but what stood out to me was their shared desire for revenge against past wrongs, which beautifully intertwined their stories. Given how much I enjoyed this one, I plan on exploring more of the author's works. The romance in this book had a slower buildup compared to Malicious Empress, so potential readers should be aware. Despite the slower pace, I found it highly satisfying, and the time frame was notably shorter – around two years, unlike the four-year duration of the previous book. Overall, it was a worthwhile read.

The storyline isn't terrible, it's somewhat clichéd but manageable. However, the main issue dragging down the rating is the author's excessively wordy writing style. She repeatedly rehashes the same information ad nauseam, and by chapter 77, the plot progression feels almost nonexistent.
