Anyways, if only I could forget the whole story and reread it again. I'd love to experience the same thrill and enjoyment.
This mystery manga is certainly unlike any other I've encountered, even as someone who adores mysteries. From the very first page, it bewilders you with its peculiar yet stunning art and storytelling that grips your curiosity without letting go.
The narrative revolves around the enigmatic figure K, who resides in room 301 of apartment building 67, along with his fellow tenants.
Following K's inexplicable disappearance, the residents of building 67 held a funeral for him, only to be interrupted by a young boy who revealed himself to be the new owner of room 301.
This young boy, Mikaya, is the one who poses the questions we're all eager to ask: "You couldn't find the body? So you're not certain he's dead?"
That's correct; K's body was never found. How can the people living in building 67 be so convinced of his demise?
The residents of apartment building 67 are perhaps even stranger than K's disappearance. They're all unique, odd, and somewhat twisted. How can they be so sure about K's death?
And what about K, the man who has yet to make his own entrance into the story?
This is the finest manga I've read in quite some time. I highly recommend it to those who enjoy perplexing tales that leave you spiraling endlessly. It's mysterious and unsettling, yet it strangely managed to soothe me. I couldn't possibly rate it lower than a 10.
<p>
Let me begin by stating that this is the most surreal and peculiar manga I've encountered. While reading it, I felt as though it was akin to one of those dreams you can't recall, transcribed onto paper.
The story revolves around an artist named K who has passed away, yet there's no body. The residents of his building held a funeral for him without a body in the coffin. When a new tenant moves into K's apartment, he embarks on his own investigation into K's life and disappearance.
I must emphasize that this manga is truly bizarre. The chapters felt like the flashbacks seen in movies (each chapter was quite brief, around 6 pages), yet there was plot progression in every chapter, even as there seemingly wasn't. It's hard to articulate it any other way; the manga led me through perplexing loops.
Art: The artwork is extremely unusual but, I suppose, fits the manga rather well.
Characters: There's absolutely no character development in this manga. Characters are mostly identified by their room numbers or professions; many don't even have proper names. The characters were the strangest aspect of the narrative, whether it was their behavior or attire—everything was just odd.
Overall, I struggle to find the right words other than strange, weird, and surreal to describe this manga. I was left bewildered and astonished at the conclusion.
WARNING: Read the extra chapters AFTER finishing the initial 19 chapters of the manga, as they disclose significant details.
