ISLAND OF MEMORIES

In my view, the Dollgun manga is significantly underrated, possibly due to its uninspiring synopsis and a lone negative review. To begin with, the Dollgun synopsis on MAL reads:  
"The day a young boy was born was the day that the legendary thief died. The many battles that revolve around the treasure left behind by him. Here, the curtains are pulled and the story starts."  

While this summary is technically accurate, it's worded in a way that lacks excitement and fails to convey the true essence of the manga. For instance, imagine if Naruto's synopsis were phrased as: "The day a young boy was born was the day that the nine-tailed beast was defeated. The many battles revolve around the boy's goal to become the strongest ninja and rule his village. Here the curtains are pulled and the story starts." That might encapsulate the basic premise of Naruto, but it would miss the depth and complexity of the story—and the same can be said for Dollgun.  

Dollgun follows Akane Junta, an ordinary kid who dreams of becoming a hero like James Bond. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he discovers that the spirit of the legendary thief Dollgun resides within him. Suddenly, he finds himself embroiled in a conflict against a mysterious secret organization while also dealing with Dollgun's flirtatious daughters, all in pursuit of uncovering the secrets of Dollgun's past.  

This isn't your run-of-the-mill harem story. The narrative is highly entertaining and humorous, with an undertone reminiscent of Mahou Sensei Negima. The artwork is well-drawn, clear, refreshing, and undeniably cute. Initially, the characters may seem vague or difficult to grasp, but as the manga progresses, they become more relatable through their actions, decisions, and thoughts—without relying heavily on lengthy explanations or tiresome flashbacks. The overall enjoyment is exceptional; despite only 22 chapters being translated so far, I devoured them all in one sitting and could easily stay up all night to finish the entire series. Although Dollgun doesn't reach the intellectual depth of series like Death Note, it's incredibly fun, fast-paced, and filled with light humor that will make you chuckle.  

In conclusion, I genuinely believe Dollgun is underrated and wholeheartedly recommend it to others, especially as a palate cleanser between heavier series.

best book I haven't read yet

dang i remember writing paragraphs of complaints here before the great reset. tbh no matter hm I disliked the patriotism remarks of the author, this is the only novel that motivates me when it comes to studying lmf**. i want that kind of a plug-in too.

I'm eyeing this novel for a long time already, but still not reading because there's no update lol I just don't want to try because I don't want to get my hopes up waiting for updates that looks nonexistent until that last one yesterday.Idk where's the real website that releasing update but I didn't bother to find it for now.
