Although they haven't quite reached a full boil, this isn't labeled as a steamy romance. Both characters seem to fall simultaneously due to the slow-burning nature of their relationship, but the ML takes the initiative slightly faster than the FL, who's still using her acting skills as a mental barrier.

The plot isn't overly complex, but it's not simplistic either. I'd describe it as a balanced mystery – the crime's many suspects and motives are clear from the beginning, but identifying the mastermind is the main focus, which they gradually uncover through evidence gathering. FL Selena is a smart and strong woman, and I really appreciate her character.
