I was reincarnated as Zagan, the villain of my favorite Eroge from my past life. In the game, Zagan lived a pitiful life from childhood and was slaughtered in the end.

But when I lived a different life from the game Zagan, I often encountered the protagonist, Luca, in the city. It feels like I am being seen as a capture target… but I’m not a woman!?

    Sure, here’s the rewritten content:

    ---

Okay, so first off, the smut was good. If I were to rate it, I'd give it an 8.5/10 (I just have pretty high standards).

The plot building was great. It's a typical "transmigrated into a game" plot, but it was well-executed.

The characters were okay, but I got a bit bored halfway through. Did Zagan ever tell Luca his real name? I can’t even remember it anymore, lol.

The story is good, and I’ll definitely continue reading it if I ever have the time.

This is really good; it starts off a bit weird and rushed without much dialogue, but it gets significantly better as it progresses. There’s some dub/noncon content, though, so be aware of that (the smut is top-notch aside from those parts).

The main character is really cute—I love a stone-faced stoic character who goes a little soft with their lover. There are a lot of super cute, sweet, and fluffy scenes that just kill me. (The scene where Zagan smiles in front of Luca for the first time was so cute it made me need to get up and go take a walk.)

Also, the translation could not be better—hats off to you all, great job!

I have to strongly disagree with the previous review... After all, it’s a novel that has "eroge" right in the title, so if you’re disappointed that the main lead (ML) acts like, you know, an *eroge ML*, then... I’m not sure how to help you. The author clearly establishes the nature of the story early on (the prologue opens with dub-con smut!), so I’m surprised anyone could get past the first few sentences and expect it to be plot-focused. Nothing about the plot or characterizations is really outlandish or "stupid" if you consider the genre of games the author is referencing—both the novel title and synopsis explicitly state that this is an isekai setting where the hero is dropped into a fantasy world that’s literally inside a heterosexual hentai game. So, I’d think most readers would expect the writing to reflect hentai logic and language to some extent. Complaining that the characters are too perverted *when the setting is a hentai game world* seems pretty silly, like ordering a rib-eye steak and complaining that it’s meat when you’re a vegetarian.

I actually find the smut scenes quite enjoyable to read. Even though their first sexual encounter starts with dub-con, there’s a lot of internal dialogue from the main character (MC) about how much he enjoys the experience, which makes it feel less forced and more consensual. It also becomes clear early on that the ML loves Zagan and only Zagan, so I didn’t really see him as a scum stallion... maybe a bit bland and underdeveloped, with his only defining feature being "loves Zagan" (but again, eroge setting, so I wasn’t expecting a deeply complex and nuanced ML).

Surprisingly, I genuinely enjoy the world-building in this novel, with the different attributes and the mystery surrounding the three gods. As the story progresses, the smut scenes slow down a bit, and I find myself more invested in the actual plot (which starts out pretty thin, understandably).

Because of its somewhat relaxed pacing, this novel has become a comfort read for me. I’ll read 2-3 chapters every day or two. It’s not a gripping read that makes you binge and desperately need to know what happens next, but it’s fun as a lighter, fluffier story with some well-done smut.

I really don't like Luka right now. This is a spoiler, but I'll reveal outside of it that if you don't like dub-con and non-con, as well as gaslighting, you will probably have a beef with him, too.

I never liked dubious consent in the first place, and he already had a mark against him during his first romantic encounter with the main character (MC). There were the typical eroge excuses for him to get away with it, but it was totally non-consensual, no ifs, ands, or buts. The MC agreed to be with him for reasons I'll never understand, but Chapters 16-17 really made me want the MC to dump him. Not only did he do something the MC, whom he claims to love, clearly felt uncomfortable with, but he did so to bully the MC into revealing something that wasn't even his business. He even gaslighted the MC into believing he was the one at fault, apologizing with genuine tears running down his face. This was most certainly not an act of love, so I can't help but disdain the male lead (ML).

Since I can't really ship the main couple anymore, I found that I've just been skimming since that scene, potentially missing crucial information for the plot. However, this incident is what most people refer to when they dislike the story, so maybe it'll be better from this point. I won't rate it right now, since I'm still mad, and I'll try to forget the story exists for a bit. I'll come back later, once I forget what Luka did, and pick up where I left off.

My advice? Skip Chapters 16 and 17. They're smutty chapters that redirect you to a different website, so it's easy to do. All you need to know is that the MC told Luka what he'd been trying to solve on his own. Without knowing anything else, you can enjoy them figuring out solutions together and maintain the innocent misunderstanding that Luka may deserve the MC.

The story isn't bad, and the smut is enjoyable. Zagan (MC) has good character development so far, and Luca (ML) is beginning to have more depth in his background.

If you plan to read the machine translations, be cautious of frequent perspective and pronoun switches, especially during smut scenes.

The story is quite detailed. I love the interactions between Zagan and Luca. The book is very interesting, and I have a feeling there are more plots hidden. I like the fact that it doesn't just focus on the smut.

Now, what I'm about to say is just a speculation as to why Luca said these sentences:

"Don't do such dangerous things again. When you left for the forest then, you hadn't met me yet, so it couldn't be helped. But from now on, I'll be by your side. That's why you don't have to do everything by yourself. If you try doing such things by yourself again... I'll have to punish you."

And what he meant by this one, "This time I'll definitely----"

Luca is the reincarnation of the Soleil god, and the love story is real but a bit different and more complicated. Zagan is the Moon goddess, and the Dark Organization, probably the leader, is the Evil God? Or maybe the Evil God is the Moon goddess who became corrupted or a part of the Moon goddess that gained consciousness. So when he 'kidnapped' her, he might have just merged with her. When Soleil sealed him, he didn't find her.

So maybe Zagan's past life was his second life, and in his first life, he was the Moon goddess. When he reincarnated, Soleil sensed his presence and reincarnated as Luca. He is two years younger than Zagan, who would have been three when Luca was born. At that age, they couldn't just shave Zagan's head and hide his attributes. And the reason why Luca said not to go there again might be because he is afraid of losing Zagan like he did before.

I don't know. I just had to write this.

It might be the usual genre of being transmigrated into a villain trope, but the mystery surrounding their "otome world" adds a unique twist! I'm still only halfway through the story (based on the total number of chapters), but it just keeps getting better with each secret that unfolds.

Of course, the smut scenes are fantastic, but there's one particular scene where I wanted to slap the male lead (ML). He left a bad impression on me, especially during the **tentacle scenes**, which felt like emotional manipulation. [Collapse] Although there are dubious consent (dub/con) scenes in some chapters, I tried to overlook them (as warned by the tags). I just hope the ML improves and doesn't resort to such tactics again.

, it's an enjoyable otome adventure with hot scenes, at least so far. A big kudos to the translation team for their hard work!

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel as a casual reader. The romantic scenes are well-written. The main characters are sweet and likable. I even enjoyed the quite intricate worldbuilding (I might have enjoyed the worldbuilding more than the romantic scenes, but that’s because I’m a nerd).

I understand why some people might be disturbed by certain early events in the story, but I really recommend that new readers give it a try. You might enjoy this novel as much as I did.

However, I might not be able to finish this novel because, for a few months, I have been getting a 403 error message every time I tried to open the website. This happens with every single page on Watashi wa Sugoi Desu's site, but not with others. I haven’t seen anyone having the same problem, but I don’t know what’s going on.

All in all, it’s a good novel with a great translation, but I’m sad I might never read the ending unless it gets licensed in my country.
