In a bustling metropolis, three individuals with a premonitory gift find themselves burdened by an uncanny ability. They can, to varying extents, foresee the impending supernatural death events that lurk on the horizon. Darkness and death seem to seep into every pore of the air, and the terror factors in the city are omnipresent. Every person that the protagonist senses will be cursed and haunted by malevolent spirits invariably meets a grisly end, exactly as predicted. And the protagonist himself is fated to be slain by an unknown horror in the not-so-distant future. Yet, there remains but one glimmer of hope to escape this dreadful destiny...

Another solid showing from I Eat Tomatos! He has a reputation for being a remarkably consistent author, and Flying Sword is no exception. This particular work dodges some of his common tropes, the story starts with the main character already quite powerful relative to most people in the world and his mom is even alive! However, it doesn't mix it up that much. The main character is still just a generally honorable guy, albeit a little unforgiving towards his enemies, who works hard to grow strong so he can protect his family and loved ones. If you've read any of IET's other works you'll pretty much know what to expect and whether you'll like this or not.I will say the setting in Flying Sword is a spot weaker than some of his other works, there's no big mysteries or overarching wars or anything like that to build a early sense of mystery and help exploring the world seem engaging and interesting. And the cultivation system seems relatively ******, with even the highest power levels seemingly explained early on. But given that we're only 191 chapters in it may have some big surprises yet to be revealed, if it turns out to be a longer work! And of course there's nothing bad to be said about the translation - CKtalon is probably known to pretty much anyone who's been reading webnovels for a while and he remains a reliable and high quality translator!

at around chapter 230 the story gets completely ruined, the story suddenly changes and everything makes no sense anymore, there's so many missing plot points, things get mentioned that never hhappened, characters go missing like they never existed in the first place. characters that have been in the story since beginning suddenly change and are unrecognizable anymore. for example the first disciple was a mortal cultivator which doesn't have any realms and doesn't rely on physiques, but then all of a sudden the eldest disciple has this heaven defying physique and he's also apparently in Emperor realm. and then they talk about how all of his disciples are in Emperor realm, which doesn't make any sense because before the sudden change there was only 1 disciple in Emperor realm, and on top of that if other had reached that realm the Mc shouldn't have known because they've been in a completely different world the whole time and there was no indication that they ever went back to the main world, so it should be impossible for them to have ever seen the other disciples let alone know their realm. The whole story is all messed up and ruined, and I thought it would fix itself after a few chapters but no, I went through over 70 chapters after the mess up, and it's still not fixed and I doubt it will ever be. So I'm dropping this story, and I recommend you all to not even bother reading it because if you actually enjoy it and you reach halfway you will just be completely disappointed and drop it anyways. Don't waste your money reading it

I don't know how I feel about this one, but the romance truly made me shudder from time to time. They feel forced or too obvious. I wish the romance was as smooth and free flowing like the battle scenes.

Aaaah I got attached to the characters too quickly I can't believe I finished reading it. It was a nice read, it would have been awesome if it was longer but at least the ending was satisfying. The characters are really lovely and likable. Some chapters were funny, some were sad but that was what made everything better, the thoughts and interactions between James and Koz made the story more realistic than I expected it to be. Overall I think this is very well-written, definitely worth a read.

This story is actually pretty great and the grammar is fine unlike other douluo dalu fan fictions on this site. There seems to be a plan and it updates at a decent pace.

"This is my job , to bully people . I would love for if some fucking cheaters would try to take it from me" , I said to them both indirectly by talking to the mob in front of me .
