This novel is terrible. The author and MC only think with their d*ck. There's no story only constant stroking of the MC/author perverted mind and ego. Don't waste your time red Cultivation Chat Group instead.

This is primarily about a girl who mistakes her home economics teacher for an average high school student. The title of the manga becomes clear as you progress through it. There isn't much to elaborate on, but overall, it's a genuinely good manga about a forbidden love that will eventually find its resolution in one way or another, with a humorous and cute twist at the end.
The art is fantastic; you should definitely read it.

I actually didn't enjoy this manga as much as I thought I would. It has a cute start and a cute ending, but much of what's in between felt unnecessary and uninteresting. That said, overall it's still a good story with decent characters. However, for some reason, it just didn't captivate me like other similarly styled shoujo mangas.

I think part of the issue was that many of the characters (excluding Hagi and Sakurai) seemed very flat. None of Sakurai's friends received any real exploration or development. I understand it's a short manga, but I still missed the depth of a fully engaging cast of interesting characters that I often find in similar works. Even Yuushi came across as too one-dimensional, despite getting a lot of page time—it was all the same.

That being said, the two main characters, Hagi and Sakurai, were very interesting and enjoyable to read about. I just wish they had been given a bit more focus, considering the manga is ultimately about them. There were only a few cute moments between them, though those moments were undeniably adorable!

As for the art, it might not be fair for me to comment, since unfortunately, I was reading a scanlation of poor page quality for the most part, especially in the last chapter. However, the few chapters that were clear showed great promise—I love the character designs and chibi-moments. There was also one extra chapter in color, which was beautifully executed.

It's a quick enough read that if you enjoy this genre, it's definitely worth checking out, but it's not the best in its category.

Yes, this is a typical shoujo manga where you can pretty much guess the plot without even reading it. I haven't finished it yet [there haven't been any updates in the past month], but it's incredibly cute. The artwork is just AMAZING and very beautiful. It reminds me of Arina Tanemura's style, though hers tends to be more intricate. However, it follows a familiar storyline: a girl falls for her teacher while her childhood friend is subtly in love with her... but she's too oblivious to notice. And for some reason, she dislikes this guy anyway. So, the rest of the story will likely revolve around her eventually falling for her friend. But I'm curious to see how this unfolds and if the teacher will play a role in bringing them together. The teacher is so cute and endearing. READ IT! Even though it's predictable, it's charming, and I think it has great potential.

(EDIT) The narrative follows a very predictable path, which is hardly surprising in the realm of shoujo manga. This author opts for the classic yet controversial theme of a forbidden romance between a teacher and student. Initially, the chapters are engaging and offer a sense of uniqueness, avoiding some clichés, but as the story unfolds, its transparency becomes increasingly apparent.

My primary issue with this manga was that I could foresee its direction, and I wasn't fond of it.
In essence, if you're not keen on a storyline where the initially likable and distinctive heroine devolves into a generic, somewhat foolish character, then I wouldn't recommend this manga.

I picked up this manga when it was first published and freshly translated. I instantly fell in love with the artwork. And that might be the biggest reason why I kept with it, despite its late updates.

STORY 8/10
Like most shoujo mangas, there were cliches, love triangles, forbidden love, etc. But for Chocolate Cosmo, it all seemed to be tied together, with unexpected twists and a fair amount of lighthearted humor. That made reading it addictive. I rank the story an 8 out of 10 because, despite its good nature, it was still slightly over-predictable.

ART 10/10
As I've said, the artwork is truly something else. Now, it is not realistic, but it is beautiful in a way only a true contender to the phrase 'shoujo-maniac' could understand. The art made the predictable storyline bearable. (And almost made me wish Hagi was real)

CHARACTER 9/10
As far as characters go, I found each one to be memorable. With a strong leading heroine, a childish yet charming protagonist, an even more charming antagonist, and a group of well-structured friends, it made the story really come alive. I found every character to be lovable, unique, and at the same time, relatable.

ENJOYMENT 8/10
Not including the long hiatus on updates, I found that while I would instantaneously read new chapters when they were released, I didn't lose any sleep pondering when the next chapter would come out. While it did keep my attention hanging on every character's words while I was reading, once I finished the latest update, I didn't feel incomplete that there wasn't a next chapter. Hence, I'm giving it a ranking of 8. It was very enjoyable, just not great.

OVERALL 9/10
Overall, I'd recommend this to artwork-admiring fans with a fetish for handsome teachers and tangled relationships. I recommend this only to those who have patience for cliches and adore love stories, no matter how simple they turn out to be.
