\"Bleh.\" - Imp

An Imp, a monster known to kill with a grin, a demon of the world, a creature of incredible might! Something that no force in the world can stand against! At least that\'s what the Main Character would like himself to be, the reality is very different, however.

Exactly that Imp stumbles along a path of unfortunate fortunes and grows through it, in a world that hates its very existence.

It grows more intelligent, more powerful, simply better at whatever it needs to do. Amongst other things, that includes raising children, killing Soldiers, and carving wooden figurines for money.

This is a book that offers the taste of REALISM as what we would expect in having a Monster(namely an Imp) as the Main Character in a fantasy world. The story, so far as what I've read, is about the MC's gradual development to an intelligent being, struggling to survive in an unfavorable environment. As he slowly learns the workings of the world, he is again and again faced with new questions and obstacles that he needs to address in order to improve himself and to demystify his purpose of existence.

Got to chapter 40 when the story started getting tiresome to read. Read to chapter 50 but the deadly sin arc came out of no where and every one of the enemies the imp talks to seems to be retarded. Sorry author not my cup of tea.

The beginning was great, it was exciting, never knew what is gonna happen next, but after he met the childrean everything kinda went downhill. While at the beginning it actually felt like we are having a mc who is a monster later it felt more like a family friendly disney show, not sure while the author deceided to switch genre to wholesome from one chapter to the next. Overall great beginning but starting at 35+ transformed into a boring disney movie.

TL;DR: This novel is like having a steak dinner after only eating hamburger helper for months.

First off, the writing itself is on point. Just talking about grammar, punctuation, and spelling, it reads like someone actually proofread the chapters, and there aren't noticeable errors that distract from reading! Many available webnovels seem to suffer from a lack of proofreading, but this one doesn't. Even if this author doesn't actually proofread.

In addition, the author's voice and varied vocabulary ensure good sentence variety and proper flow in each chapter all the way to the end, upon which one realizes they've read a lot, but still want to keep going. Once again, good flow is often hard to find in webnovels, so this one is a breath of fresh air. Or rather, a bite of sirloin steak.

Plus, the characters have tangible character development--the big brain imp from the first 100 chapters is very different than the one now. Not just in power and figure, but also in what he values and how he reacts to events now.

Ok I'm tired of writing now--it's a good book, story good, characters good, author good, I def dont regret spending 3 days reading all the way through. Though my wallet hurts a bit, I'd do it again.

Very good Our Big brain Imp is growing, and this is pretty Nice to see its not  absolutely braindead and has Actual development Ex: if he takes big dmg he gets resistance stat/ if he hits with anything he gains beginner mastery over that weapon or art and get strenght stat/ By thinking (This is Big Brain time)  and so on But gotta say i laugh in the part where he justs be like ''I finally won against my Ultimate nemesis the box (Aka: The stat thingy) cuz hes learning how to remove the notifications XD

You know that a book is good when you see that the author is DiceVR. Fyi he was the creator of "spending my retirement in a game", one of the best novel i have read to date.

DiceVR is an author that was famous for it's roller coaster emotional ride that we get from reading his book. Not to mention he created a world that is very realistic and logical yet very likeable that some if not all reader can relate to.

Each character have their own traits and flaws that we as a reader can see so clearly that i sometimes wonder if it's author personal life experience. Very similar to how every character in one piece have a flaw that drive them forward.

Overall even though i never read this book, you can bet i'll read it as it is a book that have a high potential to enter on the list of best books i've ever read.

Another sht monster mc novel. Came to read monster mc but all this story is so far, is that the mc is being mind controlled, a slave and pet.

Something that annoys about this is how everyone is loving the humans when they make a slave outta the mc. In the comments everyone says he is being treaded nice etc but this is the most dumb thing I have seen. Thyere being nice ? They are going to SELL him ? They treat him nice to get more money when they sell him. can go on but already said loads in the comments xD

Something that annoys me in monster novels is that they authors are all human superiority. I wanted to read this novel bc he is NOT human. Not so you can just make him human later on, a hybrid of human and beast etc

Dunno about the rest of the story but from what I have read it is an alright start made terrible. If your into the mc being pet/slave then good for you and might be worth the read. If looking for a pure monster mc story then dont bother.

    gl to author, bye
