On a planet ruled by ancient cults and martial families, Kallen's life turns for the worse the day he is cursed with the mark. He, along with other children, is kidnapped and raised to serve under the infamous House Bathory as spies and assassins. Their mission? Infiltrate their eternal rivals and orchestrate the heist of the century: Stealing the Crown fragment that turned heroes into kings and nations into an empire.
In this ruthless world, ambition and cunning are survival tools, whether you're in the wild, on the battlefield, or navigating royal courts. Secrets act as currency, and a seemingly simple power play can conceal a century-old plot that transcends space and time.
Torn between his quest to protect his loved ones, revenge and his morality, Kal's humanity will be put to the test as he navigates through political struggles greater than himself. Immersed in a suicide mission that could disrupt the foundation of a society on the brink of implosion, he quickly realizes that failure goes beyond death.

The story take its time to set up but will quickly take up speed. Oh and for my reincarnator aficionados, I decided to execute it with a little twist that should appear fairly early in the story.
What to expect:
- Character building
- Martial art-oriented action with a power system
- Betrayals, schemes, and mysteries
- Dark scenes
- Worldbuilding
- Slice of life including comedy and romance
-no harem

Entertaining and driven, this story doesn't seem to linger or falter on irritating details. I thoroughly enjoy the pacing until now, though the story has gone in a direction different to what I was expecting from the initial premise of a man trying to live a quiet family life.0 0 Reply

Okay so I took a try at reading this because of the good reviews on here but this story is so hard to like. First a have problem with the background which is super vague at the beginning and doesn’t really get any better latter on. Second the main character a total bore. The system attached to the main character is more interesting. And talking of characters their is really no one interesting to follow in this story. Everyone is described so vaguely that I can barely follow who is who. The story development is ok but that really all I can it. So all in all it’s a slow read that not really worth investing in.0 0 Reply

I really like this story! You should give this one a try. Very original. It has a different concept so far so I'm entertain by this. I'm unsure of the updates because there's 22 chapters so far and i dont know how frequent it is. Still, should keep this one in mind.0 0 Reply

You got all my stones for the day, Keep going! As a review for readers... I read a lot. This interests me. I think the story has a unique flow that reminds me of maybe only one other thing I've read, and even that only due to some similarity in tone. I'm enjoying the different pressures on the MC and his work to orient himself. I think the side characters could stand to be a bit deeper, as they've switched out quickly so far. That said there has been some reason to do so, and what we do see of them is relatively solid, though stereotypical at times. A bit of cringe when the woman is overtaken by her maternal instincts as her brother acts as a cold young master. The main worry I have for the novel as it progresses is how/if it will form a deeper plot beyond the current motivation of "growing to survive". However, that is a common issue and this story has a decent foundation to build something good. You can see the author playing with different narrative tricks at different points, which is fun in itself. Overall, it will be fun to watch both this author and the story grow. Its on my primary reading list, and I invited other readers to do the same.0 0 Reply
