Awakening of the Forgotten follows Jin, a young boy who wakes up in the forbidden Dark Forest, with no memory of his past or the world beyond its eerie trees. Alone and abandoned, he’s thrust into a harsh and unforgiving wilderness filled with deadly creatures, where survival is the only thing that matters. But Jin is different from the ordinary survivors of this cursed land—he’s beginning to unlock strange and powerful abilities that even he cannot fully comprehend.
As Jin battles the creatures of the forest and struggles with his inner demons, he begins to experience bursts of energy that reveal flashes of forgotten memories. These visions hint at a darker past: his family was hunted by the gods’ apostles, and the truth of his lineage could change the fate of the world. With every step he takes, the mysterious power within him grows, but so do the dangers. The gods fear what Jin is becoming, and their influence is felt even within the deep shadows of the forest.
Unbeknownst to Jin, his journey is not just about survival. Others—gods, demons, and beings from the outside world—are watching him. Some seek to control his power, while others wish to destroy him before he becomes too powerful. Along the way, Jin will uncover the secrets of his forgotten past, face choices that will challenge his very humanity, and struggle with the growing force that is both a gift and a curse.
As his powers intensify, so too does his internal conflict. Can Jin maintain his humanity in the face of overwhelming power? Or will he become a weapon that even he can’t control? The Dark Forest holds more than just beasts and monsters—it is a place where the boundaries between man, god, and demon blur. Jin must navigate this treacherous world, all while uncovering the truth about his family, his destiny, and the dark forces that seek to use or destroy him.
Awakening of the Forgotten is a story of survival, power, and self-discovery, set in a world where the line between light and darkness is not always clear, and the greatest battles are fought within.

Fantastic story and very interesting. I like the uniqueness of this monster training where the monster and the human fuse together and through this give bonuses to each other. This is a bit of a slower story. This is not a story that goes from being and ant to the ruler of the world in less than 150 chapters. I highly suggest reading it and bearing with the small editing issues that they author has at the start of the LN. He does start to get better at it around chapter 20 and then gets an editor to start editing it at about chapter 36. After that the editing gets really good.0 0 Reply

The chapters are long. The grammar is good, with little to no mistake, but there is something always missing in each chapter. Basically, even though there is a lot things of happening on the chapter, I always feel it's quite boring. IDK if it's just me(?) or maybe I am just burnt out.0 0 Reply

Pro: Good grammar, writing quality is very good compared to other novel’s on the site. Con: idot mc. He chooses not to Increase his stats using the system even after being nearly killed multiple times. Granted he does end up using them but he chose to remain weak for a very long time. I do understand having the mc be stupid, Naive, or weak but he has had multiple wake up calls and refuses to answer them. Pro: world design is very good. Especially with the way its shrouded in mystery and everything isnt given to you upfront like many novels on this siteCon: thus far side character development has sucked im beginning to wonder why they are even there. I digress im not fully caught up on chaps but thus far instead of caring about characters I either wish for their deaths, especially Erik, Or i’m just plain indefferent about their wellbeing.Pro: despite his shortcomings MC seems human which i really enjoy and some of his actions actually make sense which I really enjoyThese are my thoughts thus far and I do apologize if the spelling sucks WN turns of autocorrect on my phone. If anyone thinks in wrong about any of these feel free to reply0 0 Reply
