A genuinely brilliant work. The characters are multidimensional and realistic, the setting and attention to historical detail are superb. The story itself is also great, building at a good pace with a really interesting premise. I love the way that Gengyo adapts to the world that he's been sent to. The action is also exciting and nicely presented, I hope that Gengyo will use more of the sword / be more formally schooled in it in the near future also, as I imagine that it would be very exciting!
