Mu Qing was struck by lightning and ended up traveling to the prehistory, 10,000 years in the past, where she began her days of cohabitation with ancient people …… They were simple and thus perseverant; they were primitive but filled with affection; they were waiting for civilization but already wise beyond measure.

The MC is not overpowered at all. She simply has more knowledge about survival due to her profession. The events in the story are realistic and grounded. There are no sudden powers in times of peril, no abnormal abilities, and no instant language translation skills. This makes the story quite unique, in my opinion.
At first, the main love interest (ML) and the MC have a rocky start, but they gradually build their relationship, family, and home. If you enjoy slice-of-life stories, this one will be a pleasant read.
The story is fantastic! The characters are realistic, and you're immersed from the beginning to the end. I've read several stories set in prehistoric times, and this one stands out as the best. Each character shows significant growth and development.
I finished it in one sitting. I can't find a single negative thing to say about it because there isn't one. The author avoids a tragic plotline, which is refreshing. What's best is how the natives truly behave like prehistoric people, with different values and language difficulties.
The relationship between the main character and the others is charming and mostly conveyed through gestures and non-verbal communication. It's both relaxing and fulfilling.
**Spoiler**
I really appreciated how the main character worries about influencing Yiga and its history too much. She feels responsible for bringing progress, which inadvertently fuels war and the destruction of homes. It's not her fault, though, because aside from isolating herself completely, there's no way she could avoid impacting others' lives and stirring up greed and ambition.
I've read other novels where the main character doesn't care about integrating new weapons (like guns), and it always made me uncomfortable. While humanity will eventually develop in these areas, rushing it doesn't seem wise.
For example:
- MC never told ML about the village chief trying to banish her, even at the end.
- When the village chief's daughter attacked her, MC never discussed it with ML.
- MC discovered that YiJia (I forget his exact name, but he's the antagonist) was part of the plot to kill ML, yet she never informed ML about this and allowed YiJia to continue unchecked.
Moving on to the story and plot itself, there were situations I could relate to, but there were also moments where MC's actions seemed extremely foolish. For instance:
- Imagine this scenario: you have a guy with ambitions to conquer the world (like Hitler or Genghis Khan) and become the all-powerful ruling king. If you were MC, would you tell this person how to make durable weapons?
- To me, it's incomprehensible how MC could be so naive. She gives advice on finding metal to make knives to someone who wants to eliminate everyone against him.
- On top of that, this guy had even attempted to assault her, and she knew he wasn't mentally stable, yet she still told him how to make better weapons. Is there a more insulting word I can use to describe MC than dumb, stupid, or imbecile?
- She knew he had tried to kill ML, yet she not only kept it from ML but also provided him with information on making better weapons. A moment of silence for MC's lack of judgment. I genuinely wonder what she was thinking.
- She even acknowledges that her actions might have triggered the mass killings this guy carried out, but shows no remorse. She only wonders if her presence might have triggered this human slaughter.
On a side note, for a tour guide, MC sure knows a lot about everything. She can farm, make liquor, spin thread, make clothes, and design houses. I'm amazed she didn't design a satellite, rocket, or nuclear weapons for the antagonist.
Tired of flat characters? Confusing settings?? Too many shirts??? This might be the novel for you ;)
Jokes aside, my expectations were quite low when I started reading, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised so far. I really enjoy strong female leads who excel in survival scenarios. My other favorite novels in this genre include "Doomsday Ecstasy Cave" (NSFW, lol) and "I'm Stuck on a Remote Island with the Male Leads." While this novel doesn’t have enough chapters yet to rival the epic scale of those titles, it’s still a rare find in this genre that feels truly worth the read. I will definitely be sticking around for the rest of the ride.
I really appreciate filtering out the chaff by checking reviews before diving into a novel. So, I felt compelled to share my enjoyment of this one for anyone else like me who doesn’t want to jump into a novel without a heads-up :)
Also, I’m extremely pleased with the translation! Great work, translators, thank you!!!
