Lynn had already lived for billions of years! He had seen the prehistoric giant crocodiles and the extinction of the dinosaurs!
When Napoleon was exiled to a deserted island, Lynn was there by his side. When President Lincoln was assassinated, he was present at the scene. The last time he had appeared in the world was 20 years ago. That time, he had simply given instructions to some youths and then fell into a deep slumber.
When he awakened, to his surprise, his home had become the filming location for the program “Life in the Countryside”.
“Grandfather, may we film here in your home?” a youthful woman from the program team asked Lynn.
Being in a good mood, Lynn replied, “Sure, but you will need to look after my daily needs!”
As the filming went on, the film crew discovered that this old man called Lynn hid secrets that they never imagined!

The novel "After Hibernating for 10,000 Years, I Was Exposed on Television" presents a captivating blend of science fiction and introspection. Set in a future where hibernation technology has advanced, the story revolves around an individual who awakens after a long dormancy to find themselves thrust into a world vastly different from what they once knew. The protagonist's journey is both a personal odyssey and a commentary on societal evolution, identity, and the impact of progress.

As the character grapples with their new reality, they must navigate the complexities of relationships, technology, and the ever-changing norms of humanity. The title itself invites curiosity, suggesting that the experience of being exposed on television amplifies not only their physical presence but also their emotional vulnerability and the scrutiny they face.

This thought-provoking tale explores themes of isolation, adaptation, and the search for meaning in a rapidly changing world. It invites readers to ponder the consequences of our technological advancements and the importance of human connection in an increasingly digitized society. Through its engaging narrative, the novel challenges us to reflect on our own place in time and the potential consequences of our choices.

Overall, "After Hibernating for 10,000 Years, I Was Exposed on Television" is a compelling read that combines a thrilling premise with profound insights, making it a memorable addition to the realm of speculative fiction.

Names change, unintelligent characters, nonsense reasoning, portrayed as western setting but characters have distinct asian mannerisms, bland over all, not worth the time.

This novel is good for a quick fun read. It is definitely a comedy genre novel, so don’t click on it expecting dog-blood drama or hot-blooded protagonists.

Personally, I think that the best part of this novel is learning about the alternate earth that it is set in. Humans can live to be over 200 years old, with the publically known oldest being 280. Of course, the MC is several hundred millenia old, and has the historical artifacts to prove it.

Summary: popular alternate-universe celebrities are participating in a reality tv series, and happen to encounter the MC who is living in a small village. The MC’s house is full of super-expensive items, which shocke the world when experts analyze it. For the public, even the food the MC eats can make A-level celebrities bankrupt, but to the MC it’s just low-level items that he’s been gifted ‘recently’.

TLDR: a good comest story for a quick read, but almost no potential as a popular novel

If you value your time then dont read. The plot is nonexistent and the characters are very stupid. An example is they ask if a ransom old guy was someone from 200 years ago, he says yes and they just believe him

This is translation review, not novel review.

If you are not familiar with it, webnovel has started westernizing most of the novels in 2021. This is awful practice that kills original novel. At best you get only names, places and organizations westernized and at worst you get half novel gutted and other half totally rewritten by translator.

With best case scenario you get only names, places and organizations westernized which introduces plotholes cause while names are westernized, actual writing and character culture arent. You get chinese way of thinking, chinese places and organizations translated into most famous western (USA) alternatives and as a result you see absurdity.

And with the worth case scenario, you are not actually reading original authors work, but some "translators" plagiarization cause half novel is removed (sometimes critical explanations) and other half is badly rewritten. And cause this requires so much work compared to normal translation, either webnovel is stealing original authors work and rewriting it (cause most of those novels dont come from qidian) or they are just using translators that dont know chinese so they are rewriting story with help of MTL (seen too many edited MTL translations lately on webnovel).

overall any westernized novel deserves automatic 1 star review.
