First, I have to tell that I haven't watched the Clow Card Sakura series. So, I don't know how CCS fans will react to this book. But, this book is pretty unique in its own way. This book feels more like a japanese novel rather than a chinese one. The mc is more like a typical light novel mc who is always grumping and act cowardly but at crucial times, can be a brave hero. He is not like typical chinese mcs, who immediately changed and become arrogant, shameless or ruthless once he recieves some ability. He holds onto his principles very dearly, not like korean mcs who would adapt to all the darkness in order to survive. Although the plot is subpar, it is the mc's personality that draws me to read this story.
