Gary inquired, "You actually kissed the Alpha, huh?" He addressed me, then glanced at the figure bathed in shadows. "Is she the one you were talking about?" The man replied coolly, "Yes," before turning around and walking away. Tears streaming down my face, I pleaded, "Alpha Asher, please. I'm sorry for my actions. It wasn't my intention to offend. Can you forgive me?" Gary looked at me with a hint of compassion in his eyes. "Perhaps we can help her," Gary suggested, trying to appeal. "She might prove valuable to you someday." I couldn't help but feel irritation towards Gary's suggestion. Was he suggesting I become his pawn? I came here not to serve another Alpha, especially not the one I had kissed. I was about to question his use of the term "useful" when the pain in my leg brought me back to reality. Survival or death – the choice was clear. At least temporary servitude could lead to freedom. "Useful?" Alpha Asher repeated, interrupting my thoughts. "Yes, yes, I'll do anything you ask. Just please, spare me from death," I begged desperately. "Anything I desire?" he echoed, amusement evident in his voice. In my mind, I wondered what could possibly make him smirk like that, trying to distract myself from the allure of his captivating lips. "Speak up, woman. Would you do anything I command?" he prompted.
