Ruined In Love

The sound of the shattered liquor bottle reverberated through the room, causing her to flinch. With tear-filled, terrified sapphire eyes, she stared at him, her body wrapped in a damp towel. She pleaded, "Damien, please leave my room now." But his intoxication seemed to deafen him to her words. As he placed his hands on the glass door behind her, trapping her, a chill ran down her spine. "We'll talk tomorrow when you're sober," she tried to push him away. However, her resistance froze when he grabbed her wrists, lifting them above her head, causing the towel to slip, leaving her exposed. Shaken by fear and the cold, she struggled to free herself from his grasp, but his question pierced her heart like a knife. "Zia, do you still love him?" he asked, his emerald eyes ablaze with a mixture of fury and pain. Her fear turned to anger. "What if I told you I do?" she challenged, feeling the sting of his fingers digging into her skin. "I'd kill him right in front of you," he growled, his deep voice echoing in the silence. His ruthless determination left her heart constricted. As their lips met, he whispered, "Because in my love, Zia Damien Karlson, I alone will be the one to destroy you."
