Beyond the Balance

The god before us destroyed himself to create a perfectly balanced world and along with this world he created us, the new gods, to govern over and maintain this balance. This world he left for us to govern has since maintained a completely unshakeable and perfectly boring balance. I've always hoped to find someone or something that could shatter this balance, but now that I have found her it's clear that the scales of this world could never be tipped from within.
