Not if you just say you don't like something about the work. You likely insulted either the author or the work even if unintentionally.     I feel like every other novel is based around some nonsensical gimmick like a dense MC or a story where everything could be avoided if the characters had basic communication skills and talked to each other. It is very frustrating.
