Nozomi Yumehara, an ordinary student, encounters Coco and Nuts, two beings from the Palmier Kingdom. They beg Nozomi to save their world, which has been ravaged by an organization known as the Nightmares. To restore it, she must complete the magic book Dream Collet and locate the 55 Pinkies, which will grant any wish. Simultaneously, the Nightmares are beginning to invade the real world. After agreeing to assist, Nozomi is transformed into the magical girl Cure Dream by Coco and Nuts. Additionally, four of her classmates are turned into her Pretty Cure team members.
