What is there to say? This series is as close to perfect as it gets imo. It's funny, intense, exciting, a bit tragic every now and then, the story is great and it's written at a great pace.
It's not your usual shounen with a "happy-go-lucky" maincharacter neither is he some person who gets into trouble and powers up instantly, it takes all the good parts from a shounen manga and makes it more mature and "realistic".

Saying it's realistic might be weird in a fantasy manhwa but it have a certain set of rules and it follows them which is what makes it so great. It's got a slightly dark theme wich is hard to notice from time to time.

It's my all time favorite comic and you'll miss out if you don't try it!

You can't not like the main characters, they are all just great!

P.S. If you've read all chapters of ToG, check out http://towerofgod.wikia.com it holds interesting facts and you can read comments the author have posted on his blog about chapters translated.

i started this one because people said it was like hunter x hunter, but i found that it only had superfical simularities. baam isn't much like gon in anything save his ability to make friends and his latant abilities. where as hunter x hunter gradually grows more grimm and dark, this one starts out in the dark and stays theres.
not that there isn't lots of humor, because there is.
at first i thought it was going to be kind of boring and lame but it was surprisingly good, especially towards the end of season1.
the first season builds up a solid foundation and i can't wait to see what happens in season 2.
so far, i give it a solid 9.

This is one of those things which takes a long time to build up, but are amazing once they do. Although the first couple of chapters are kind of follow the "weak protagonist" and semi-boring storyline, it becomes amazing later on. Also, keep in mind that chapters 1-78 is only the introductory storyline. So, I would recommend people to read at least that much before commenting (doesn't take that long, only a couple of hours). And yes, it is well worth the read.

...well, for those who say this is bad, you should be read until last chapter before comment..

Nice story, even it have some similar idea with HxH, but it also have its own twist..
    Pretty funny, especially gator

so cute in his mini form.. XD

but his word is really hit the bullseye sometimes..

Overall, great story, good character development (damn, Koon is most likely similar with Hiruma in Eyeshiled21)

Cannot wait to see next chapter give it 9/10 waiting for next development..

Just finished chapter 67 and find this webtoon to be one of my favorites of all time! The world is so enormous and inventive, with a great cast of characters and enough mystery and plot twists to keep you interested. I find the art to be excellent for a webtoon and am even more satisfied with the expanse of the story.

When I started reading it I was not very pleased - it showers you with a lot of characters and those characters tend to take new superpowers out of their pockets whenever necessary, all they do is fight or throw some jokes plus the art is plain bad.
But it got better. Really better, so now that I finished 47th chapter i can't wait for more. Physical tests are replaced by mind-games and stategical battles, teams of players are formed and disbanded, lies and betrayals (not really a spoiler considering amount of characters), plans inside plans etc. It's actually interesting to read to see what will happen next.

Its full of twists and turns. The author gives a lot of hidden tips, but you can never be 100% sure in which direction story will go. Add to this good action with a pinch of good comedy.

One of the biggest pluses of this series is that even the side characters are well-designed and original, everyone has their own back stories, behaviors and goals that wants to achieve. One of the best is Rack, 3m tall alligator obsessed with turtles, bananas and being the best. His every speech knocks me on my knees

I can’t hide that art isn’t best at the beginning (although I like his style) but its slowly getting better and better. Not surprising since its first professional work of SIU.

There is also a lot of additional information from author blog about TOG(translated on scanlator forum) for example info about 7 best rankers in tower. TOG is only small part of word TUS which is mostly in the imagination of the author.

I do not think that the author was inspired by the HxH, sooner by the soccer and fishing(lol)

Somehow HxH never fell to my liking, but if the similarity lies in finding a lost beloved person and climbing tower then I can say that Baam find pretty fast Lahel and tower is much bigger than any other tower or our world and climbing it in 100 years is considered to be fast.
There is also many original fish-like monster that swim in shinsoo

    Warning!!! Very addictive!

A bit like HunterxHunter but less convoluted and draggy. The "game" is probably not as sophisticated but there is quite a bit of characterisation, team-building and world-building. Also, the writing is less contrived and more to the point, I think. Sometimes, I find a lot of similar comics spend too much time rambling about a certain point when they could've summarised it, instead of repeating the same words over and over.

And though it's a bit like HunterxHunter, I think the characters are making far more of an impression on me, even though only 43 chapters have been released.

And oh yeah, though the main character seems pretty cliched 'cos of his super power, it seems he isn't the only one.

From what I recall, anyone who lived outside of the tower and who managed to enter it, had some sort of special power.

The art is quite rough at first but it evolves to become much better over time. Like many webcomics, it's made for fun, so the art quality isn't as accomplished as his CGed works. However, I think it's decent enough to convey the action and to emote the feelings and thoughts of the characters or to convey a certain situation.

It definitely gives off a Hunter X Hunter feel but sadly it falls way short of being anywhere near as good. Seems like one boring fight scene after another without any of the suspense HxH had.
