Truly one of the best manga/manhwa out there. Highly suggested to anyone out there. It also has high reread value. I've read it a total of three times and each time I realize that there were many more hints/details that I missed. It's like that book, Dante's Inferno. Each time you reread it you understand different elements of it. Also don't listen to the comments of "overated" herp derp der der..... If anything this manhwa is underated. 10/10 is too low. If there was an 11 I'd give it.
Do not give up after just reading couple chapters, it gets good really quick and you will find yourself sucked in a matter of 10 chapters.
The previous guy mentioned that the artwork is bad, i'd like to mention that the artwork will totally grow on you so don't give up after reading few chapters furthermore it gets much better later on.
I think the strongest element of this manga is the PLOT TWISTS, they've taken me by surprise so many god damn times.
every character in Tower of god is unique and well developed, characters likability is extremely high in my opinion , I read this in one go and i almost remember every character and his/her personality except for their names ( Korean names are hard to memorize ) .
If you read too many mangas and you miss that feeling of excitement of reading chapter after chapter go read this immediately and be ready to get your favorite manga replaced because tower of god is amazing.
I am trying read this manhwa because the rating, but totally over rated. The story and character is ok, but art..very suck..very flat. The art can not represent story, situation(background), emotion, plot and, bad point of view just flat picture. The reason you read manga/manhwa is because the drawing can represent the story and you can feel emotion, flow of story just from the drawing, otherwise you can read a novel. Much better if the author join with another mangaka for art, example: deathnote and the breaker: new waves. The author can fokus with the strong point (story) and let other do your weakness(art).
I usually only read shoujo or josei with lots of romance, so this kind of manga(manhwa) is not really my cup of tea.
But Tower of God is simply incredible. It just never stops getting better and evolves constantly. There's no predictable plot so every chapter, readers are going to wonder what's gonna happen next. I cannot wait till I see next chapter next monday.
the art is amazing
the story is great and unique
the characters are very interesting and some of them are really awesome
this is defenately a masterpiece and it's worth to read
there is only one thing i have to point out though:
when u start reading u can't stop
(sorry for my bad english)
read tower of god it's good
Tower of god is an incredible piece of work, the detailed characters, varied conflicts and carefully crafted lore, all these reasons are why this manhwa is this popular. Whatever flaws one could conceive are shadowed by its perfections. Another note is that there is no single main character, we see and borrow the perspectives of a wide array of characters which makes the world even more authentic. I have high hopes for the future of this manhwa.
Seriously,I never thought I would want to give a manhwa 10...my rule is always never rate anything perfect score. 9.8 is the highest score I would give.

It started off slow in the beginning, but that's only the foundation. The story grows and becomes much more deeper as you read further. There is so many character progression and story, I am also amazed at how much strategy and mind play, I can see how much the author put work into the plot and such, amaze me with the progress of the story. Oh,I always love creative strategy and character progression. There is also numbers of character and many of them are made with distinct diversity.
and many other that many had said...
you should read it and see if it's overrated or not. For me, it really touch the spot.
have many what I love in a story and executing it brilliantly.

Okay so I’ve changed my rating. S.I.U. is quite impressive for sure. The characters all look different and are very creative and Mr. S.I.U. even made more story in the characters and character development. So why 9.5 and not 10? Because, well it may be personal thing or personal bias idk but I still don’t get a full understanding or dialogue with the characters… basically I’m asking for the characters to speak more and more in depth. I felt like I finally got a bit of that in the [untrusting room] arc, but I’m still looking for more, but the author is going towards that direction so I am currently very happy. For a girl to be impressed by a shounen, especially me is pretty good. 🙂 Now I understand more of the storyline so some of my critiques don’t apply, however I will leave them there. I am anxious to see more and continue reading this potentially incredible series.

Considering how vast TOG world is, there's so much possibilities and potential for this webtoon. We have only read up to Floor #30, there's still 70 more floors left and yet so many mysteries still unsolved and some many conflicts to put a end to. Well.. I'm going to make a comparison to HxH.. in HxH, Gon & Killua had to clear that tower.. they simply had to clear it, there weren't much other conflicts involving in that.... the ultimate goal for both of them was to get stronger and pass that tower. For TOG it is different, there's so many goals and conflicts in that one 100 floors tower that it'll take a while for this webtoon to end, there's just too much questions left to be answered. TOG's tower is much more serious and realistic than HxH's tower. Climbing up the tower in TOG can be compared to climbing the social ranking tower in real life. Some people thinks that becoming billionaires and millionaires will make them happy. Some that climbed up the ranks forgot their ultimate goal in life because they have changed. Many aspects of TOG can be related to. At first TOG is kind of slow but yet interesting as you keep on going. This story is the type of novel that builds up and eventually grows on to you to a point that you can't wait for the next chapter. I'm a really patience person, I tend to forget that I was waiting for a chapter to come out after 2-3 days of reading the recent chapter. even if it was super exciting example: Skip beat recent chapters (omg Ren x Kyoko actions finally after so long..)... but TOG.. there are just some chapters that I can't wait to come.. chapter 50 Season 2, I'm eagerly waiting for that chapter! Eventually when you reread TOG, you'll feel so many new things and reasons/foreshadowing that the author has thrown in that you didn't notice until you reread it. I have to admit that SUI introduces so many characters that I sometimes forget who is who.. especially if I haven't reread the webtoon in like 6 months or so. His characters are really well developed but yet some has less show time than others so you couldn't remember some of those characters but they might appear again, for example that Ahjumma in Season 1; I couldn't remember her name.. ahh.. I'm blabbering too much.. there's just too much I can say about this webtoon cause it's just that EPIC & awesome.. I'll stop here with "READ IT!"
This is definitely my favorite manga/manhwa/webtoon that is still on going. The world SIU (the author) creates is vast yet intricate, but even more impressively, cohesive. He introduces an incredible amount of characters and detail, but still maintains focus, constantly evolving the story. Speaking of which, the plot mystifies one with its complexity and brilliance. There are so many motives and plans by different characters/groups and many interconnections between them that the anticipation to see how it all plays out is overwhelming. It's impressive how much "realism" SIU can bring to such a creative and fantasy based premise. Perhaps there is a better word than realism, but whatever the case, the world makes sense given the circumstances. It makes sense that not everyone succeeds or lives. It makes sense how the characters behave and feel given the environment. Furthermore, the character development is also top notch (especially the main). I would add more detail but this post is already too long. To finish covering the bases though, the art is very well done though not my absolute favorite style, the fighting is awesome, and the comedic elements are a nice change of pace at times. The only negatives I can think of are that it's sometimes a bit confusing considering how much is going on (and perhaps that it's translated) and some may people may want more attention around the main character. However, these are hardly significant and I recommend this manhwa over all others in a similar category.
the author seems to have a deep understanding of this huuuuge world he's created. You'll have to read translations of the blog posts on the batoto forums and at the end of some chapteres to get a feel of the scope of his planning.
I love extensive worldbuilding. 😛
It started a bit slow, but yesterday, I couldn't fall asleep, I got so much into it ^^
It may not be the best thing ever, but this is the FIRST MANGA IN 3 YEARS that got me so excited, so yeah, right now, this is my fav 🙂 (It really didn't happen to me for a long time that I was actually CURIOUS about the next chapter)
In a way plot of this manga has a different feeling... it may not be completely "different" from everything else (is that even possible?) but I like the flow of the things...and frankly, I really like this type of manga.
I just hope it won't fall into some sort of stereotype, and plot keeps on evolving 🙂
