I wouldn't quite say he was effectively killed off like 0Gungrave0 said, but that's basically the gist of it. He did basically disappear into the background in lieu of newer and more powerful characters. He's presently chillin at High Heaven Palace with the others from the smaller realms if I'm not mistaken and might make an appearance again .
