Something tells me that shoujo/romance isn't really the genre for you. Almost every story uses the "love triangle-misunderstanding" at some point. I can tell you (after skimming through all five volumes) that if you hate classic shoujo type tropes, this probably isn't the manga for you as it uses a few others to move the story along too. So, if you aren't satisfied with a happy ending and you can't handle how it gets there... not for you.
