The Russian hero deserves the win here, he completely read the sword guy. The fact that the sword guy is still moving around with the ice shard in his heart freezing him to the point where his fingers are falling off is pure plot armor bs. It's rare that authours make side characters so cool that they break the plot's logic, but yeah. I know the sword guy will win and come out unscathed, but it's complete bullshit. Don't make characters that should win if you don't want them to win.
