If you are not into misunderstandings being the driving factor of a story, this one may not be for you. I only made it through because I had already bought the title. In the end, though, I am glad that I did make it through.
That said, I really, really hate letting misunderstandings drag on, so you can imagine how I must have felt at realizing an entire story was premised on figuring out that there had even been a foundational misunderstanding, never mind clearing up additional misunderstandings that accrued on top of that first one.
Also, I did not care for the MC. I only began caring about him AFTER we saw him from the ML's perspective, which did not come until ~40th chapter. The MC is a cringy airhead who lives in fantasy land instead of behaving like a rational adult. He basically whips up multiple possible scenarios/fantasies and gets carried away with them ALL THE TIME. He should be a rom-com screenwriter, not a chef. Some readers find this characteristic adorable. I find it off-putting.
He reminded me of the MC in Punch Drunk Love. And I found myself wondering what the MLs saw in these MCs? At least the Punch Drunk Love's ML loves the MC while fully knowing that the MC is just off his rockers. This one? The chef remains a brooding mystery, just a stock character with very little development for more than half the series. That was unfortunate because he is the far more compelling figure with a far more interesting storyline.
There are love triangles, multiple. They are not extraneous but integral to the story and the character development. I found one of the love triangles much more fun and engaging.
Lastly, the MC looks like a teenage boy of about 14 years old, so the sex scenes were definitely disconcerting.
Also, there is attempted rape, not between the ML and MC, but be warned.
The more I was reading the more boring it became. I only red it to the end bc of Hanbin and Sahyeon honestly. Their story was to short for me lmao. I was scrolling through a lot of chapters. The main parring was blend and I couldn't became more attached to them.
I think my major problem with this series is the way a lot of stuff happens in the work environment, that shouldn't be happening. The power imbalance of dating your boss isn't appropriately addressed. Also, Go Hanbin is creepy. Like, I like this kind of twisted and messed up character. But it is hard to see him having so much difficulty with his emotions, being manipulative and mean.
Full of IDIOTS!!!!!!!! Main Couple should be side couple honestly infuriating + i have a headache and they're making it worse Who actually likes this book Quantity and not Quality i guess Only Side Story 1-3 worth reading wish there was more of Yu Sahyeon & Go Hanbin Waist of time dragged out plot for nothing ONLY worth for Yu Sahyeon ONLY
If you don't like miss communication and bigotry this story is not for you 🙂. Both characters love eachother but can not say it and thus a lot of misunderstandings accurate. That's all there is to premise of this story. But in general characters are cute and hot, cooking aspect is interesting and all secondary characters weren't annoying (even second couple).

actually all character is loveable, even gogo, in the end he got some character development too, but still main couple Suha and Calix is my favorite
