I have to agree that this is super wholesome, though it just isn't my cup of tea, at least not right now.
I gotta give it a super biased 4.7/10, and most of that is just for the premise, I gotta say that the art may be good but I find it somehow lacking? Idk, it just doesn't feel right for this type of manga.
Anyway, it is a good read if your in a slow burny mood, but if not then I don't exactly recommend it.

I can't lie the art and paneling has gotten so much better

I like how the referees are semi-distinct, each adding a little bit of variety (minimal, mostly background, but still appreciated). In particular, Yamamoto Koishi (former combatant, bald guy, chapter 278) seems like he gets really into his role. I mean, look at his stance on page 13!  That is a man who stands on business.
