    I find it funny that they are like “you can’t easily decline a marriage proposal from a earl or higher” lol. He has no obligation or need to associate himself with that country. If he wanted to he could just live on his island or go to another country that would prosper of his creations instead of theirs. He also has the both physical and technically should have the political power to tell everyone to F-off. Sure he has friends, but he also has teleporters, planes, and worsts case scenario military might. If he really wanted to he could easily overthrow the country and become the new king.
