Pretty standard fare, but the karmic angle's promising. Like I want nothing more than to keep reading just to see this piece of shit king get what's coming to him. Might not be the most unique hook, but it's a good'n.

Oh yeah!! things are about to get crazy!!

The questions about life were handled pretty well I feel. Life. Purpose. Finding answers in the (evidently) not at all simple act of staying alive felt right. The authour takes care to explore the reasons for the main cast's attempt at suicides, mostly focusing on Sei while giving the rest of the cast understandable reasons. There was a sort of... respect that I felt. Sei's motives were explained and reasoned with feelings and thoughts that he struggled with. It was intimate. The rest of cast were no where near that, except maybe Liv and Ryou. For the cast we were given the events, but the authour kept a respectful distance that was reflected in Sei. He didn't understand. He couldn't. And he couldn't assume to. Every one comitted suicide for a different reason, and the answer to finding the will to live was different for eveyone. Sei's answer could only soothe his own soul.
