    Okay I'm stoned enough to take a wack at this. Yeah we shouldn't pity Seiko. But she's clearly deranged so it's (at least for me) truly hard to fully hate her. She's clearly a dissociated and neuro divergent person who's actions aren't valid, but fuck. I think that's why i (and maybe we) keep reading this devastating shit. It's hard to hate someone when they weren't all there and especially harder when you realize a part of her wanted to be a good mom. It's fucking tragic.
