Haven't read it yet but the reason you don't attack Lv1 heroes is because there's are hundreds or thousands of adventurers out there, if you squashed every any that rises up you'd be doing it forever. The difference between a normal adventurer and a hero is the hero accomplished the task. There are many would be heroes who end up falling flat, they aren't heroes. You're only a hero if you win.

Also the reason you use silver to take down werewolves instead of cannons is because werewolves regeneration is on par with a vampires, they can't die to normal attacks. Silver is the only thing that short circuits their Regen because it posions them.

Sounds like a story that wants to subvert tropes without knowing why the tropes exist, but I'll check it out.
