V4: The Six Princesses

It's a very laid-back story, good character development, a good message to younger readers for following their dreams even if they don't fit into society's view of what's right. I like the developing yuri plot, not sure where it will go. I love the way music is so central and yet the author admits that music is not highly regarded in Japanese society. As someone who has lived in Japan for way too many years, and a musician myself, it resonates deeply.
Anything by TOUME Kei can turn wonderful, in any of a number of ways, any moment. Her art is fantastic, and her commitment to focusing on real feelings is welcome. "Sing Yesterday for Me" is the best, most realistic depiction I ever saw of what it feels like to be a 20-something person looking for love. I remember how that was.
Thanks to the scanlators for this new one. I have high hopes.
2020 PS: I'm now up to chapter 15, and it's been pleasure all the way. I was a bit confused at the start as to who was who and which band was which, but now I have that all squared away, and our heroine has an "in" with a reforming band, and lots of interesting stories keyed off the characters' distinct personalities are developing. Best of all, this feels like new ground for Toumei-senpei. Before, she has seemed to be drawn to somewhat gloomy story lines. This manga is full of the hope and energy of youth.
Well, the story seems pedestrian but there's only one chapter out. I doubt there will be any real surprises though. It's your typical story taking place in a Japanese school. The artwork is lovely though. I love Toume Kei's character designs.
they arent right??? right?!?
