This world has been overrun by bugs. With the emergence of Armored Bugs—mutant insect monsters impervious to all modern weaponry—humanity has lost much of its living space. The only force capable of standing against these adversaries are the Noble Butterflies, girls who host Insects that have evolved differently from the armored bugs. Odamaki Ayumi, a candidate to become a Noble Butterfly, still struggles with her inability to achieve this transformation.
