BUT what a rich world. Getting to know the protag and cast before the resl plot started was a great decision by the author.
There could've been a lot more side stories at the end, but coming up with more and more conflict only destroyes the happy endings that a lot of characters got.
Just one last question you can ask yourself after reading:
When you create a race of dark skinned people, with full lips and long tails, which they use to traverse vertically or in forests, why would you also give them whips as a cultural weapon and have a scene of them groping and whipping a white lady???
Taisho otome otoghi banashi did it better.
