    Quite possibly... one of the most infuriating manga I've ever read. From around chapter 75 onwards, the story changes tone, completely abandons Maria's trauma, and goes so far as to say that a r*pist ought to be forgiven, because he's such a great guy and he's actually loved you and your dead mother the whole time, actually. Plotlines are picked up and dropped without thought, characters remain completely one-dimensional throughout, and whatever growth there is is so soured by this awful rhetoric that it's very hard to swallow. I don't think I'll ever read this manga again, and I would be very hesitant to recommend it to others. If you're a past victim of s*xual abuse, consider this the trigger warning, and move on to something else.
