PPS. Also argh. Guy's so wrong on weaponry. Cross-bows that are smaller then bows obviously will have lower power. But they totally made big fucking cross bows. AND the advantage of that cross bow was the higher power you could achieve by drawing it ... with a fucking tool, or by utilising more powerful stance, Potential energy does depend on a length of the arms, but so does material, you can make a cross bow from a fucking metal. AAAAAARGH How can you be so incredibly confidently incorrect! The _only_ practical disadvantage of cross bow vs bow is that skilled archer can shoot _multiple_ arrows in the time it takes to draw a cross bow, and it's price.
