What do mean by growing up? He's among the mcs that hasn't been irritating, childish, or idiotic. He's been doing pretty much all that he could with the resources he has, seeing as he can't literally talk about his past, has no idea what's going on because info is being hidden or not recorded. And the one struggling moment he had was with a guy who was described as having omnipotent mana.

I'm kinda split on whether this is poorly written or tragic. It's just so damn obvious that the Queen's neglect caused her daughter's anger with the world that it feels less like dramatic irony than eye-rolling, cheap drama. Also, tf was the husband or prince-consort or whatever doing? Your wife just abandons your kid and you're just cool with it. They show him as more present in her life, so did he really not notice how deeply impacted his daughter was by her mother's abandonement? I know men aren't often protrayed as sensitive, but I think this is a bit much. We're parents too you know?

Finally he gets pissed off enough to fight. His wimpy attitude while being that strong is annoying. He doesn't have to be arrogant, but don't try to flee like a spineless worm at the first sign of an unexpected situation. I'm rather pissed off those women told him to stop strengthening himself because it's "Dangerous". He's been doing it up until now without a problem, but because of plot, he stops before he gets more powerful than the goddess he hates.
