I like it so far. I thought it would be like The Witcher going around hunting monsters for money but it seems like its going to focus on werewolf hunting. I could be wrong though.

I haven't read the novel, but didn't notice any major pacing issues. His power growth in the early chapters could have been smoother, as we didn't really see much actual growing, rather just sudden spikes, nor did we get to gauge his strength much at all before he got another powerup.

And there aren't any jarring time skips, by chapter 26 only ~2 weeks have passed since chapter 1, and chapter 35 could be estimated to be maybe another week later.
