i'ts best manga ever...enough said
it has everything you could ever want, action, comedy, drama, strong characters, funny charcters, romance, it's the best.....period, read it if you haven't
great art as well
This is a wonderful manga that I just happened to start reading by chance. I read most of it within 3 days and couldn't wait for more. After the scans slowed a bit I started watching the anime which oso just as capturing for me. the feelings this manga gets across to the reader and the relationships among the many characters you get caught up in is one i've read in few other places. just say today in chapter 824 that theyre continuing the ippo anime in jan 2009 =DD
The first 30 volume has been decent the least. Though i can now understand why comebacks mostly happen, in a way it does make sense since he fight stronger opponent each time. Of course the comedy stand out the most for me. Takamura is just hilarious, i can't help but laufg on their stupidity. Though are also a bit downside since the main character remain naive and weak mentally. He did not grow at all. Despite my complain this manga is worth to read all 80+ volumes that are currently out
No words for this! Suberb! This is the best Sports manga I've ever seen! Loads of characters and the plot is not only centered on 1 char. Amazing fights and comebacks. Loads of technical stuff and very high on realism.
The characters are very depth and its one of the funniest I've ever seen.
Has true moments of joy where I just can't stop laughing!
best manga ever, for me at least
i have read many manga but this one is just specail, it is so good i went out and got a psp so i could read ever volume on my way to school and work . not only is the action super good , but the humor is probly some of the best if not the best out there , 10 of 10
This is the longest manga I've ever seen, and it hasn't gotten the least bit boring in all those volumes. =)This is a great read. When i first started this manga I thoguht the title was "The First Step" xDD
Love it even though it does get annoying on how long the matches are in chapter length its probably the best sport manga out there, and its one of the few sports mangas without making it insanely cheesy and god a bit overdramatic depending on your view though thank god its not like eyeshield 21, air gear, and what was that 1 ping pong 1? those are all awsome ass mangas and all but really get overdramatic at times, then again thats whats most animes do anyway even if they arent sports 1
If I had the chance to select ONE sport in all the Anime/Manga/Comic universes, it would be Hajime No Ippo, for sure. If boxing was even remotely close to as FRIGGIN' AWESOME as this is, soccer wouldn't be the most important sport on Earth.
Also, I think that this is one of the few times that reading about sweaty guys punching each other is not gay but, actually, extremely manly. =p
I just wish real boxing was somewhat close to this...
Finally Ippo is starting to challenge the world. barny I'm only two years older than this manga so I guess your my sempai. I really want to live to see the ending of this wonderful manga which will be Ippo in the center of the ring holding world championship belt up high and takamura, coach kamogawa, aoki and kimura lifting ippo high towards the sky.
very good plot. interesting characters. funny.
art good
plot not repeating . this is the way of a champion
now ippo gain a lot of experience. world champion finally open
After 70 IPPOs quest to be world champion finally started. whew! I'm just 3 years older than this manga. I hope the author would be able to finish this.
