Lee Taegun stands as the nation's premier esper, an unassailable force of sheer power. His abilities make him seem like an immovable object, untouchable by any means. However, the reality is more complex; his invincibility is not as absolute as it appears. Like all espers, he suffers from the adverse effects of using his powers. What sets him apart is his staunch refusal to work with a guide who could aid in his recovery. Enter Seo Eunsung, one of the finest guides alive, determined to assist Taegun, consent be damned. Thus, we have an irresistible force meeting an immovable object. Who will yield first in this confrontation? Or might they both succumb...to each other?

The reviewer saying guide is doing things esper doesn't want/is "healing" his trauma must be thinking of a different series or struggle with reading comprehension, because that is not the plot at all...?
Guide really is trying to do the bare minimum in face of esper who rejects guiding because after using his powers he becomes insanely horny and in that state will jump whoever's nearby. Esper's trust issues largely revolves around the guides who took advantage of that (when he's basically somewhat impaired so can't really consent.)
So ML in this instance is doing his best to remain professional and offer guiding (which yes, "has to" get sexual when it's badly needed because that's the whole silly premise of this genre) while holding back his own desires. Every time he does something sexual he is simultaneously looking at his little popup screen of esper's vitals to bring him back down to normal levels. Within the context of the genre, ML is absolutely a green flag in that he's holding back from taking advantage of this guy he likes, who is desperately begging him for sex... like damn, what more do you want from the guy? XD
Anyway the art is insanely gorgeous and they're both very lovable. Plus demon dog is hilarious.
Great characters, story, and art so far. I like both MCs (of course I prefer the prickly esper) because they're both reasonable adult humans. I hope they stay that way. I see great potential here for action drama with a good sense of humor and certainly we're building to some high quality smut. Only time will tell.
Guide "I won't do things you don't want"
Proceeds to do things the Esper doesn't want.
I get some of this is to 'heal' him, but removing consent in any form rather than dealing with the trauma behind it only exacerbates the trauma, so I can't realistically imagine this working out without further force, and with the guide/esper dynamic, there's always that mind break / brainwashing edge to it, so not a great start.
That's the vibe I get from this chapter.
