really depends on the publishing company as well as the health of the author(s) and how many assistants they have (if any), really isent that unusual for manga to have different release schedules, and afaik we have weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly etc, even d.grey man is atm a chapter every 3 or 4 month
