If Overlord is the depicted as hardcore gamer leading a guild then this is the causal counterpart. The mc makes simple mistakes and knows only what seems like the basic info of his army. He lacks personal power but knows the bare minimum to lead. Which leaves a lot for future character growth.

I don't understand the appeal here. Seems like it's been ages since anything interesting has happened. Am I supposed to care whether these random adventurers we've never seen before defeat some mutated goblins? I'm having a hard enough time relating to anything the main character is doing. What I found interesting about the premise (which seemed to combine isekai and survival) has been left behind a long time ago in favor of bland combat encounters in a bland medieval fantasy setting with a cast so bland I don't even care if I remember anyone's name.
Genuinely curious what the people who enjoy this are getting excited about.
