    Probably that he's going to reach a level beyond that of elite player.  Like Ichiro or Felix Hernandez or something, somebody who plays at a level beyond what is expected of elite players (although if that's the case I don't know why they included Ohtani as a reference seeing he's arguably one of the biggest unicorns in all of baseball as a power-hitting pitcher who just recorded a 50-50 season).

    Adis thinks that his life was one that was cursed because every path would lead to failure. At least part of him realizes this is because of his own actions which is why he hides those actions from those that take his contract. Adis' mission was initially to become the military supplier and get his revenge on his rival merchant (which nobody managed to achieve), but since the main character has taken a different path to get there than expected I imagine the only way it can end at this stage is by completing the hidden mission. One where Adis doesn't just achieve his goal, but manages to have a future happier than he could have even imagined to wish for. His current position is one that is actually above the one Adis was wanting, and his revenge is nearly compete so we are likely in the final chapters of this mission.
