I LOVE Natsume kun!!!!
I instantly fell head over heals in love with Gakuen Alice. Sure, it's like every other manga story: Problems; Best friends; The people who hate each other most fall in love; but that's what I love about this fic! It may be normal as everything else, but it's still simply lovable! The characters, and everything!

This manga is pretty beautiful in a lots of aspects; nice quantity of interesting characters, drama, events, humor, even some dark plots. And the childish personalities/point of views does give the story it's own uniqueness. Try the first chapters and see for yourself!
This is one of the most funniest school manga I have read.It ranks along with Azumangadaioh.The art is nice and the characters' personalities are perfect.Read it.You love it.I also recommend watching the anime which is equally good.It's also a dark manga which adds to its unique story. Higuchi Tachibana has created a masterpiece for the school life genre.

Mikan and Hotaru are best friends in elementry school, but when Hotaru transfers to Alice Gakuen she doesn't even bother to write. After receiving only one post card in a whole semester, Mikan runs away to find Hotaru and ends up transferring to Alice Gakuen herself.
Once there she is forced time and again to prove her worth to her classmates and teachers while trying to understand exactly what it means to have an Alice and survive in the harsh school. The teachers boarder on abusive and are untrustworthy. Foreign governments are supposedly after the students because of their abilities, and to top it off, Mikan herself is especially disliked because of a previous school incident. Add to the mix her twisted and slightly perverted arch nemisis/love interest Natsume and her upbeat thoughtless personality and it is a blast watching her navigate the obsticals of her life at Gakuen Alice. There is lots of humor, but there are some seriously dark parts of this manga which are quite shocking.
