The narrative centers on Hirono Hiro, a high school boy who struggles financially and draws shoujo manga to make ends meet. One chilly Christmas night, after encountering an eccentric woman at church, his bicycle is stolen by a peculiar girl. He chases after her and discovers her lying unconscious in the street. Her name is Miyamura Miyako, and she had just been robbed of her bag by a man on a motorbike. Soon afterward, they begin spending time together, enjoying their high school experiences and daily adventures. Hiro's life is also significantly influenced by Shindou Kei, his childhood friend.
