Dorei Shounin Shika Sentakushi ga Nai Desu yo? - Harem? Nani Sore Oishii no?

Two chapters in and the story doesn't care about inconsistencies if it means getting the scene done.

1) The MC (main character) chooses slave merchant because the other roles would be too troublesome, but the elf girl has all her titles listed beside her chosen one. The MC claims he wants to keep those other roles secret, but because the author wants to make some kind of weird, forced morality argument, it literally shows whomever saw his license to register him in the right class would see those other roles.

2. The dorm is for a particular special class, and the elf girl just defended the MC's chosen profession... then makes the observation of "You're from the same class." No duh!

3. The dorm manager sees 2 students and treats them like they're the only people coming.

4. The elf girl goes blushing at being called a girl (that's it, no actual compliment was given).

5. MC asks for an explanation of the guild rank system despite showing he's familiar with it.

6. The language disconnect between the GR (guild receptionist) discovering the MC is a slave merchant (oh, neat, never met one) to discussing what happened to her sister because of a slave merchant (holding a knife threateningly and causing the MC pain).

7. New girl (NG) wants to show MC the ropes GR is concerned she's too new and will be unable to do that, then MC turns NG down and GR suddenly suggests MC goes with NG.

No way I trust this to be competently written. Don't sweat the details if you want a chance at enjoying this one. Not the worst thing once you stop paying attention to the small things.

I'll start by saying that I'm enjoying this. It's got the standard share of tropes, but at the same time, this is the first time I've started to read a manga about a MC with "slave-making" skills where the MC isn't a douche and the plot isn't smut. In fact, it's a pretty clean manga with cute characters. It's fun and soothing.

Sorta entertaining at the start; not knowing where the story would go but, without missing a beat, it strived to be as cliché and downright terrible as I should have expected. If I had based a guess on how the story would progress solely on it's description, I would have skiped it alltogether. I am more disappointed in myself, rather than the story, for having any expectations at all.

I recommend you skip this manga.
