This is a manga for 10+ old preteen children, written by somebody who doesn't know at all how children behave. The author made some small grownups not children and the most important attribute for the children is being obedient. This is Seinen with complete asexual content. Because the grownups in this manga have no sexuality they feel in the end somehow hollow. Some have tragic past but they have no love life, no desire (except the desire for taking care for the dragon children). Like robots programmed to look a like human for childcare reasons. But for preteen reader is this OK.
The art is better then average, especially the backgrounds. But it is still a typical manga. The mangaka can even draw a elderly person which look like a elder person which most of the mangakas can't do.
There is not real story in the manga, it is only slice of life, which is not bad at all. In the last few volumes there is some meta-plot between the episodes. In the end what I came to dislike (well, it's even more like being disgusted than dislike) in the manga is the setting. The dragon mages have real short end of the stick in this setting. They have the magic powers only to educate the dragon children and only as long as they are in the valley. After they retire they have nothing. They are forbidden to have a normal family. If they had a wife or a husband before they came to this valley they must abandon her/him. So families has to be torn apart. If a woman dragon mage is pregnant the children can only be allowed to stay in the valley (with the mother) if the children have the gift to use magic and so can became a dragon mage successor. If not, then get the f**k out of the valley. And after a live long work of a dragon mage, if the successor is ready, the now old dragon mage has to leave the valley with the eternal gratitude of the dragon tribes. The bad thing is you can't buy anything with just gratitude. Especially the part with families torn apart (told to the reader in the history of some dragon mages in the manga) is amoral. But for a preteen children is this OK, most would not understand anyway the tragedy of loosing somebody whom you love.
In the end this manga has not at all the cuteness or easiness of Yotsubato!. For children it's still OK and if you have some time to kill you can give it a try. But this is NOT a Josei manga, if it is something than it is more Seinen manga than anything else.
this manga is really good, if you like +anima, you will love this
it's not easy to make this cute episode chapter interesting, but it keep making me want to read more
normally I find episodic chapter boring, but this one's not.
