I'm starting to believe he is trying his best to avoid it because he knows once he acknowledges it he's going to be in a really weird power dynamic. Once she knows he knows he basically has to give an answer with implications of a choice between 24/7 domestic partnership with a girl he barely knows or homelessness. Now that I think about it, he has no reason to pursue her, since as long as she's doing this ridiculous charade his living situation is guaranteed under the more reasonable "I am providing a service for housing". For instance, what if he goes for it and she turns out to be a crazy GF who wants a baby to lock him down? She's already telling insane lies and acting erratically and overtly sexual! He does not trust this lying wench for good reason, and I think this is a psychological series in the guise of a romcom.
